'AS' Sociology Teaching Guide
Neil Renton, Sarah Palmer, Mark Kirby, Helen Taylor

The 'AS' Sociology Teaching Guide has been written to provide new and established teachers with a comprehensive guide to the teaching of AQA AS Sociology.

The ‘AS’ Sociology Teaching Guide will be of immense benefit to NQT’s and students studying for their PGCE, whilst also offering the more experienced teacher guidance, new approaches and potentially a different perspective for their teaching of AQA ‘AS’ Sociology. This publication will allow teachers to plan and implement lessons for ‘AS’ Sociology with efficiency and confidence.

The main part of the book focuses on topic structures, central terms/concepts, formal and informal assessments and lesson activities for each of the AS units.

The ‘AS’ Sociology Teaching Guide offers a useful overview for each unit and includes teaching ideas that can be adapted to meet teachers own teaching style and institutional needs. This should also allow a new or inexperienced teacher to quickly establish rigorous teaching files and quickly gain confidence.

This practical and informative publication has been written by four experienced sociology teaching professionals.
