eBook User Guide
What is an eBook?
eBooks are electronic version of the print edition
that can be read on your PC.
You can download an eBook from our website
and see a selection of sample pages before you decide to buy
the book.
Purchasing an activation key will give you instant
access to the full content of the book and access the information
you need immediately
Unlike print versions you can use Adobe Acrobat
to search for words or phrases using Adobe's powerful search
facility.
Contents and index pages contain links to the
destination page.
Instantly access the authors recommended websites
by clicking on the links.
eBook Format
Our eBooks are available in Adobe PDF document
format and can be read using Adobe Reader v6 or later available
from www.adobe.com/reader.
Depending upon the user licence agreement purchased there
may be some restrictions in the usage of the content. Please
see each products agreement for the terms of the licence.
Our eBooks use a secure technology and are downloaded as
".exe" files rather than the usual ".pdf"
format
How to Buy our eBooks
and Activation
Our eBooks can be purchased by either downloading the PDF
first and launching it or buying it first and then downloading
it.
If you are activating an already downloaded eBook start at
Step 1 if you are going to use the Buy Button
on the product's web page go to Step 2.
Step 1
When you have downloaded your eBook you will already have
access to a few sample pages. If you wish to purchase an activation
key to unlock the full book, then simply click on the "Buy
This eBook Now !" text found at the top right-hand
corner of the Adobe Acrobat window as shown below.
Step 2
This will take you to the Secure-eBook website shopping cart
as shown below:
Enter your details and include your correct
email address as this is where the activation key will be
emailed to.
Click the Buy Now button. This will take
you to the PayPal shopping cart. Here you can pay by credit
or debit cards or use your PayPal account if you have one.
Please note that the price of the book shown
at this point is not the full price and that the balance of
the product value is added at the checkout. Please see
below for further details.
PLEASE NOTE: You do NOT need to have
a PayPal account in order to pay for your goods.
IMPORTANT -If you are ordering the downloadable
eBook and have a spam blocker - be sure to add sales@secure-ebook.com
to your "safe-senders" or "friends"
list in your email program before you order so that
you can receive your access code.
Or check your spam/junk email folder just in case. |
Once you have finished the payment transaction
you will be sent to a Thank you page that provides
you with your purchase details and a link to download the
eBook (if you have already downloaded a copy there is no need
to download it again).

TIP: Place your muse pointer over the link to
the file and press the right-mouse button and select
"Save Target As..."
Our files are ".exe" files and some browsers
block exe files and warn you about the risks. Our exe
files are very safe and do not contain any spyware or
adware.
Make a note of where you have downloaded your files
to.

When you receive your activation key enter it
into the eBook Activation window. If this window is
not open then click select eBook menu and then Activate
eBook... menu item. The following window is displayed:
Enter the activation key sent in the email and click on the
Activate button.
All chapters of your eBook can now be read.
Can I Buy an eBook
any Other Way?
Yes we can provide you with other methods for receiving an

Am I Charged for Delivery?
No, however our purchasing system will show
a charge for delivery, but this is deducted from the cost
of the actual eBook so that the total cost is the amount you
pay as shown on the product details page.
We apologise if this looks a little strange
at the checkout.
Send Our eBooks
to Your Friends
If you like your eBook you may send a copy of the downloaded
file to your friends. They will be able to see the sample
pages and can then activate a copy for themselves.
Licensing
The full License agreement can be found in the
sample eBook and in the activated versions.
Completing your purchase an eBook from from
Lexden Publishing means you accept the terms of our licence
agreement. Please read the agreement carefully.
If you require different access rights to the
publication and the license agreement to suite your institution
please email ebooks@lexden-publishing.co.uk.
